Arise O compatriots, Nigeria’s call obey,

To serve our Father land, with love, strength and faith,

The labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain,

To serve with heart and might one nation bound in freedom,

Peace and unity.

Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause,

Guide our leader’s right,

Help our youths the truth to know

In love and honesty to grow

And live in just and truth

Great lofty height attained

To build a nation where peace and justice shall reign.

As I think of the current situation of my Fatherland Nigeria, I am deeply saddened, humiliated and embarrassed.

234 girls missing, bombings here and there and most recently a re-bombing of a place already hit while the pain and ache is still fresh in our memories. Corruption on the high rise, bad roads, epileptic power supply, insecurity, kidnappings, exploitation, blackmailing and oppression.

What is happening to us, where are we going, why are our leaders silent over the numerous problems plaguing the land? Why our leaders partying, gallivanting and campaigning when they should seek solutions to these problems? Ironically the same people they are campaigning to and need their votes are the same ones they have failed continuously yet we voted for them.

The labours of our heroes are in vain right now!!!! Our leaders don’t know what to do, they speak and we lose hope, is this how it’s supposed to be?

Will the bloodshed of the innocent and poor be stopped and justice served? Will we be safe to travel to any part of this country? Will it be safe for our children to go to school and not be kidnapped?  What is our hope Nigeria?

At a time it seemed it did not concern us, the bombing are happening in the north we said , but then I ask what is stopping them from bombing anywhere they want to? What kind of security measures are in place to protect anyone? Nyanya Park was bombed barely 2 weeks ago and was AGAIN bombed yesterday with nothing or no one stopping them. AGAIN I say AGAIN!!!

“Youths obey they clarion call, let us lift our nation up” ….

Why we should continue to serve our Fatherland that is not serving us and letting us die, then giving us cash gifts like money can buy life. A nation that is not concerned about it children and youths which is its future will soon die. We want action not committees set up for political agendas and propaganda so that after a few days, it is swept under the rug along with millions of naira.

A child is now fatherless, motherless or orphaned. A father or mother left childless or one child less. A Mother is still in agony and unknown pain because she doesn’t know where her baby is or the pain she is going through. A Father is going through such torment because he’s helpless against fighting this evil that has stolen his daughter from him yet the land he has sworn to serve and has served from childhood has failed and betrayed him.

Oh what pain, torment and torture, no one not one of us is left out, speak up Nigerians for your Fatherland, lend your voice, this touches us all. Go on twitter, face book, join to protests, do what you must peacefully too, it is no use losing more lives seeking solutions for the lives already lost and the problems we face. Your child, husband, wife, father, mother, sibling or loved ones might still be safe right now but for how long? How long will we continue like this. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Truth is we cannot act unconcerned, to our leaders take actions, if you don’t know what to do by all means seek help.

Nigeria will rise again and we will conquer this darkness, this evil. Indeed peace and justice shall indeed reign.
